Nice'Neasy is good for commercial brands, as they have a great conditioner with it

For box hairdyes, I would say anything really cheap like Revlon color silk is pretty damaging.. I would have to agree with the other girl in saying garnier is probably the least damaging, garnier 100% color is the best longest lasting one you can get, it holds to hair really really well with barley any damage

L'oreal seems to be okay, and some of the cheap powder dyes can be very harmful to the heart and the skin. I don't use hairdye, but I know a lot of people who do.

your best bet is to go to a salon. those "walmart" hairdyes have so much weird stuff in them...for example, pantene line has furnature laquer in their products. thats what makes the hair shiny. my suggestion is Matrix being the best for your hair, and the worst being bleach.
