Hair - July 2006

Can u share some bad hair cut experiences? I've got naturally curly hair, and i just got it cut, and it used to be super long, and now it is just above my shoulders, which is not the 1 or 2 inches off that i wanted. There is one length of hair around my whole head by my ears, and the next layer is like by my shoulders. I told the lady i didnt want it as short as she was cutting it, and she told me " oh well i have curly hair too, and i love my short layers." I am now pretty much sick to my stomach, becuase i liked the length i had before, it just needed a 1-2 inch trimming, and now, it looks like i just pulled up strands and starting snipping with scissors.

First of all, I'm a guy. And this is my first time having long-ish hair. So here's my problem:

I have tried dove, silk, neutrogena, aussie, matrix, samy, pantene, citrus, etc and I have yet to find a product that actually adds volume to my hair! My hair is so straight and flat its disgusting! I have also tried the whole aspirin thing (it works but if i keep using it my hair is gonna get so messed up). Has anyone else tried something that actually works!?? HELP ME!

Hi! I've had bangs my whole life (but in different styles) from the 80's frizzed up to the side swipe now. I'm FED up with bangs! I want them the HELL outta my face. As the question says. I need ideas for updos and all. On rainy days, I can't always wear them straight or it will frizz up. I don't want to straigten too much causing them to be more damaged.
