Normal hair growth is 1/2 inch per month. You can speed it up to 3/4 inch per month by:
taking vitamins
scalp massage
wear you hair up (it protects it from the environment)
get it trimmed on a regular basis (no trims lead to ratty ends and lots of splitting/breakage)
use a satin pillowcase
use a boar bristle brush
do final rinse with distilled water
do not shampoo daily
avoid metal hair accessories

If this growth isn't fast enough, you can always get hair extensions.

I had really long hair when i got when i got married, i use to sit on mine, because it was past my bottom. I found that changing shampoos alot made my hair grow. Might be different to others though but mine did grow a lot quicker.

Brush your hair 100 strokes a night. I know it sounds like an "old wives tale," but it really works. It stimulates growth from the root.

Eat and drink a ton of protein. The extra protein goes straight to your hair folicles.
