Hair Highlights...?

I have dark brown hair and i am getting highlights in it soon...what would be the best choice of highlights for my hair? thanks.

I also have dark brown hair, and I found the best highlights for my hair were golden blonde. BUT my advice to you would be talk to your hairstylist, and have her/him bring out a highlighting book that has color samples in it, that you can see what your hair looks good with.

The best results I've ever gotten, is when I highlighted & low lighted my hair, but only with my hairstylist's advice too.

PS Some hair care advice, remember when bleaching your hair, obviously it damages the hair, and the only way to fix it, is to grow it out. Basically once you start to lighten the hair, you either have to keep doing it, or wait till it grows out.

I have dark brown hair, and I've always wanted reddish highlights. Go with that.

If your hair is dark brown, ask for auburn highlights or red. If you go too light it will look tacky.

I've done the same I went with a dark blonde, now I had a friend though with dark brown and she went with a cherry cola and it looked great too.

red but may fade fast. You can bleach the highlights blond but add a toner (glossy brown) color to lessen the brightness.

for a subtle look caramel looks nice in dark brown, if you really want them to be noticed then go with blonde. If you want to add a little spunk try a deep red

I would say a lighter shade of brown, or a dark shade of blond. Any brighter would would look too auspicious.
