I really like to design my own clothes but I have never actually gotten to the point of sewing them. I just need to find some good patterns to get me started. and If you know of any websites that have all the cute embellishments and beats and all that it would be great. thanks.

im a student and i really want to learn how to edit my own clothes.. what kind of sewing machine do i need to adjust my clothes.. make them smaller, tighter, looser lol accessorize?? all that .. please which do i need.. cos i want it to look professional, i was thinking a serger but im not sure and i dont know about the variations

my hair is 60% grey on top and at temples- lighter salt and pepper everywhere else. ive been doing it my self with dark blonde but i dont like the 1 dimensionality and hate the white roots. is there a technique that would make roots less noticable?

My hair stylist says that she cannot highlight my hair using the "foil method" because it is too short on the sides. She says that she has to use the "cap" for short hair. (my hair is about 1 1/2 in. on the sides) I always thought that it was easier to get to the roots using foil rather than the cap. Is she right............or does she just not like using the foil??? Any hair dressers out there that can answer this? Thank you!

I need help to make my lipstick last longer and let me tell you I have tried everything...e.g. blotting it first then putting on another layer, putting foundation on the lips first, blotting it with pressed powder through a tissue. So far the best trick I have found is to use lipcote...but it somehow distorts the colour a bit when I use it? Any suggestions on how to make lipstick last longer????

I have very very dry hands all the time.... I wear lotion and put cutical oil on my hands religously and nothing works...they still crack and peel along my cutical and turn white...EW! please help.

I like using store bought fruit seeds and pits to use as exfoliants in my scrubs. I want to save some money and do this myself, using my own seeds and pits ect. Is there anything special to this? Do I need to preserve them in any way? I would like to use olive pits as well. Does anyone know if there is anything unique to crushing my own pits for storage and use?

Im going to a alternative night / rave or whatever you want to call it i already dye my hair black but i want it blue but only for one night.
Ive looked at stargazer spray it say it lasts one wash..but if im sweating will it run and does it really come out easily..

my friend and i found a diamond about the size of one on a large wedding ring. we want to take it to a pawn shop or jewler to see if its real. it feels quite heavy and we managed to scratch glass with ease.

what i want to know is if there are any tricks these guys will try on us to cheat us out of extra money. i dont even know if its real right now, but i dont want to loose an opportunity because i didnt know how to negotiate with him.
