There's no need to cover your nipples when you're tanning nude. I go to the nude beach all the time during the summer and simply use a good SPF 30 sunscreen on my nips the first few times each season. Gradually, after my tan starts to develop, I lower it to SPF 15 and then none at all. That way, your nipples are protected and they can tan (and darken a bit) slowly and safely.
I've never seen any of us at the nude beach covering our nipples with anything other than sunscreen, and it works..and looks...great.

they have these nipple stickers that cover the nipple initially and you can get them in different shapes,colors and sizes. victoria's secret has some in flower shapes and they're about $10 for 3 sets
