Fragrance Free Moisturiser

Hi i had this problem and nothing worked until i tried cliniques dramatically different moisturiser in the lotion. Its £15 but it works and you dont need a lot. I was amaze when it got rid of the dry patches on my face that i have been trying to get rid of for years and nothing worked even all the one for very dry skin that come out nothing works except this one. Its fregrance free and is suitable for dry combination skin so is ok if you have spotty skin. But dont use if you are allergic to lanolin as this is in the ingrediant and i know a few people who cant use lanolin. But if you not you should be fine. Why no try a little bit when you go into the clinique shop near you. This is how i got to buy in, i put some on my hand where i had a dry patch which was dryer that my face and the dry skin dissapeared in front of my eyes in seconds. But if you are allergic to lanolin then the next best thing is olay sensitive its fregrance free and hasnt got lanolin in it. You have to apply it more times a day than clinique but its the cheapest alternative i think. but what ever you do only buy fragrance free in any moisturiser and cheack that it doesnt clog pores. and is light to rub in. I tried Nivea before and its far to thick, and also simple is rubbish and thats fragrance free.

Do _not_ exfoliate every day. (If you absolutely must - though I don't think anyone does - perhaps do it once every other week.) It dries the skin out terribly, and doing such a thing every single day is unnecessarily harsh on the skin. The face was not meant to be exfoliated.

There is a lotion made by Dove called Sensitive Essentials Fragrance-Free Day Lotion. I have extremely dry skin on my face (I also have psoriasis) and personally use Dove Deep Moisture Facial Lotion SPF 15 (the SPFs are great - protecting your skin from the sun will help maintain its health in the long run). It has a light scent, but it's never really bothered me (and I'm also picky about wearing only non-scented lotions). These lotions are non-comodogenic and so should not clog pores.

You might also want to try putting a thicker non-scented lotion like Eucerin on the flaking spots at night (but avoid your spots of normal skin, since Eucerin may clog pores) and sleeping with it on. I guarantee you'll wake up with gorgeous soft skin. The flaking will be demolished.

O.k. the first thing you should do is exfoliate with warm water and a semi-rough wash cloth and soap ( I recommend Dove as it has moisturizer) just to remove any peely skin. I don't mean use an exfoliator emulcent like those with little rough beads that scratch your skin, just a wash cloth and soap. Doing this when you bathe everyday will keep your skin soft and peel free. Now the best lotion out there is definitely JERGENS ULTRA HEALING. It says it's frangrance free but there is a faint scent. Everything has a scent. I use this lotion everyday and it's the only lotion I will ever use. I have severely dry skin and this keeps it moisturized all day unless of course you wash it away. Now when you apply it it'll probably feel a little sticky or greasy. This will go away within half an hour when it absorbs into your skin.

there is a range called Simple which has green and white packaging and it is all perfum free, they do light moisturiser, deep moisturiser, cleansers etc.
i like it

and despite what other people have said about
a) exfoliating every other day
and
b) never exfoliating
you should actually do it once or twice a week, make sure to use one that is gentle - microbeads are better than sharp pieces as your facial skin is fragile
avoid the eye areas

Try Nivea, it comes in a blue tub, very inexpensive but been voted one of the best moisturisers for the winter weather. Not only can you use it as a moisturiser, but put it on thickly and it becomes a face mask! Brilliant

I use Oil Of Olay Total Effects all over, but in my dryest places (crease of my nose, forehead) I use fragrance free Eucerin. It works great. And no, you should not exfoliate every day, this can be more harmful. You should only exfoliate once or twice a week and wash your face with a regular face wash (like Noxema) every day.
