My 1 yr old's hair will not grow around the crown of her head. She doesn't have cradle cap as far as I can tell. What should I do?

OK this is going to seem really weird ... but in my family we do it to all the babies. Shave her head bald. I know don't freak out but if you notice right now when you touch her hair it almost seems like you are touching "fuzz" when you shave her head all her new hair is going to come in and grow.. My cousin freaked out when we tried doing it to her baby so since she didn't want to shave her bald all that was done was her hair was cut really short that worked too but not as good.

Give the poor might a chance. My niece was born almost completely bald and she didn't have much hair until she was 3-4yrs.There is nothing you can do but let nature take its course.

this is very typical for children. it is usually caused by the way they position their head during sleep. patience is really the only thing. it is not abnormal and my son had a bald spot until he was 3.

NOTHING. It will grow, just give it time and patience. If you do something you will probably regret it later.
