We hired a professional photographer for our wedding and included in our high price was books of our proofs for ordering. My family and friends are ordering from it also...my question is since they are paying $5 per 4x6 photo can I make copies somewhere of the ones they purchase for ourselves (rather than us paying another $5 for the same picture)? Where will do this or where can I do this? Is it legal since we purchased it?

If you feel this is wrong or illegal please explain, not yell or get smart, exactly what about it is wrong? Please use details. I am curious in knowing more.

Thank you!

Does anyone have some cool, unique senior pictures or celebrity studio shots that would be ideas for senior portrait shots? I dont want the typical sitting by a tree or black and white with a red rose.

Yesterday me and my boyfriend had some professional photo's taken of us together. The problem is they are going to send us the actual photo's and we want to copy them to give to other members of the family. What is the best way of making copies of them but keeping the quality? Can i take them to a photo processing shop and ask them to put them on a cd?

I want to start teaching myself photography because i cant afford to take a class in it. My question is, what is a really good digital camera for that....good quality but i am a college kid on her own so i'd like to keep the price low. Also, what do people use to edit photos for example make some things color in a black and white picture? Is it just photoshop?

I have a Kodak EasyShare C340

It worked at first for the most part.... but for some reason the batteries wouldnt keep it charged. I sent it in to get fixed and they claimed they fixed it but it wasnt. So I just left it alone and tested different batteries and then one random day it decided to work.

THEN... for Spring Break I brought it to Jamaica and for the first few pictures it worked but after about 3 all of a sudden all of my pictures have these vertical lines on them. If i take pictures of landscapes its all white. If it's upclose sometimes it gets a face but the background has all these white lines on it. The color is disoriented.

I'm so sick of trying to take it in anymore because it seems like all they do is send it off and give it back 2 weeks later saying it's fixed with no change.

Anyone know what could be wrong... or should I just get a new digital camera?

(I feel bad getting a new one. My parents gave me this for Xmas about a year and a half ago...)

Help!

Many a time I’ve studied models in fashion and photo magazines for inspiration when wanting to paint a portrait and quite often I am impressed and sometimes amazed by the expressions conveyed in the poses, by the settings themselves or by a combination of both.

I’m just wondering how such impressions are created? How much of it comes from the coaxing or coaching of the photographer? How much of it is left up to the model to provide? What percentage of these wonderful expressions and impressions are purely spontaneous? What percentage come about by ‘accident.’ By accident I mean you take a hundred photographs and a few are usable. And what percentage of the settings, the backdrops are chosen by the photographer and what percentage is ‘suggested’ or ‘demanded’ by the client (like by a magazine or dressmaker, etc.)?

I spoke with a professional photographer from Europe who told me he can not find any public art shows or even art galleries in the U.S. that would agree to exhibit photographs of nudes he has taken, even so called 'art photos.' It's not that he needs the money. He's had exhibits of his work at the Smithsonian (but they don't exhibit nudes, obviously). I am looking to find art shows where I can sell photos of nudes I've taken, but I don't want to waste my time applying if that's the case. I submitted a few samples to one gallery owner in Washington, DC (Not the Smithsonian ; ) and she said they'd be happy to display my other work--like cityscapes--but no nudes because 'families' attend the shows. Is that basically the response I'm going to get? If so, I don't want to waste my time. It does seem a bit silly to me since I see photos in Mademoiselle and Vogue that are no less risque than mine.

I'm planning to get some model(s) together soon to set ups some photo shoots. I don't have a studio so most of my
subjects are shot outdoors. I'm looking to find some cool places to do some shooting with a model or two. Fashion oriented or eclectic people photography.
I live in the South Bay area near the Beach Cities i.e Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan Beach.

I need to find some other LA spots to variate the background/ local of these shots. City spots, other beaches, Plazas, Parks whatever.
Any location suggestions will be helpful.

My exclusive shooting area would be 13x11, the office, storage, waiting and showcase area would be completely seperate. Approximately how many people do you think I could fit into that space?

Thanks!

how do you get that effect in pictures that makes the whole picture look bright and pro and different from average pictures?
is it a program like photoshop, or is it the camera that you have to work with to get that look?

for example, this would be an ordinary, any other day picture:

but these look pro....:

why is auto focus system important?

i'm a beginner and i wanted to buy a D40x but they say that it does not have an auto focus... so i might as well pick a D50/D80 instead.. (but my budget will probably can only afford a /D40D40x/D50)

my confusion is that D50 have only 6.1 megapixel while D40x got 10.2

which one should i consider the most to create better pictures? the pixels or the auto focus?

another thing, if i would get a D40x, would the auto focus absence of it will be solved by buying a AF-S lens? or at least give the same amount of quality with a DSLR with auto focus?

which cam is more wiser to buy? (D40x or D50)

hope you can help me. thank you.

I'm 17, and I really would like to be a professional photographer once I get out of high school. What do I need to do to start out in this field? I've taken a year of digital photography, and that is what sparked my love for it, but I have no idea what to do next. Any suggestions?
