All I want to do is remove someone from a photograph. I have tried the cropping tool, the cut out tool and I have tried to color over them using the eyedropper to match the background. But it still looks like crap. I am not very savvy when it comes to Corel. The help file is long winded. All suggestions on how to omit this person out of the photo would be greatly appreciated.

I have been working as an occupational therapist for 10 years but have a passion for photography.. I don't really know where to start when it comes to pursuing it as a career, and feel somewhat daunted by the idea of trying to work in what feels like an "exclusive" arena.
I don't necessarily even need to rely on photography as my sole source of income, but would love to find a way to earn some money doing what I love.
Any links to helpful websites or people who are willing to mentor would be most appreciated.

I've got a good point & shoot Digital camera and looking into a DSLR. I was checking out various boards for recommendations on getting a good deal on a DSLR. One photographer was thinking beyond the box so to speak, and said the best way to save money on a DSLR is to use a film SLR. Since I already have a Canon SLR with an excellent lens set, I'm thinking that using both cameras I already own (digital point & shoot and my Canon film SLR) can sure save me a lot of money. If I'm not going to go for a really high end DSLR (over $1,000 say), am I going to lose any quality with what the cameras I already own?

I have been doing photography for years but mainly events for family or friends but i hve been getting other "customers" people have just been calling me up and asking me to shoot for their senior pictures or for their weddings. My problem is that for friends and family I have done it for free like as a gift to the person so what shoudl I charge other people? I need like an approx. pricing list since I dont really have a studio or anything I just kinda do it in my living room or on location. I dont have like a protfolio or a years and years of professional experience what can i charge?

that people take black and white pictures with regular digital cameras and say its art and its photography and when they have no experience in photography..

So sitting back watching a big event at night time on the TV.

Lets say the opening of the Olympics at night, in the stands there are hundreds of flashes going off.

How will the flash reach the scene and reflect back to the lens?

Do you know anyone whos tried? Did they get back dark results?

Comments?

Well, it's only really the first one that I know about. Someone posted a question that was really just a flame at another member. The complaint was that, although the person had been helpful, the answer was tinged with sarcasm. I politely suggested that the poster might want to remove the question before it was reported, as it was definitely a personal attack that Yahoo! would not tolerate. I see that the question has been removed and all of this asker's questions are now moarked "Private," so you can't see them. I guess that was easier than removing them one-by-one. If you check the profile, it now reads, "I'm gone..." Maybe that's just a cool thing to say, but I have a feeling that the member changed the profile today and quit. Who knows.

As far as the sarcasm, I looked up several answers from the flamed one to the offended one and, frankly I think the asker must be rather thin-skinned, because I didn't see anything that was horribly offensive or insulting.

Hi, my friends and I are planning a photoshoot next week mainly for fun but also for furthering my photographic skills. It's my first time to do a planned photoshoot, most of my shots are spontaneous, street and experimental. So I think I'm really going to be conscious of thinking beautiful poses, angles, concepts for a photograph. I use a Canon A700, a point-and-shoot digital camera, not that I'm bettling my camera (I love my camera) but it does have its limitations like not having the capability of adjusting DOF (unlike dslrs) which is very essential in portrait photography...

As much as I love natural lighting in photographs, I also want to take it to another level like using studio light. But I'm really really clueless when it comes to it. What should I start with?

My boyfriend always gets red eye in photos, even when others next to him don't. Would it have anything to do with his red hair? and he has pale/pink skin...

I'm curious, because I never get red eye, but he always looks like Satan. At one point he had it that many times I could have sworn that he'd tampered with them.
