the picture on the link is not an autochrome it's a tinted black and white picture. To see some autochromes (mine) just google arthur morton autochromes.

This is really interesting. The Lumiere brothers patented this process in 1903, but it wasn't available to the public until around 1907.

If you are interested in selling the photo, you may want to contact this website and ask them, or contact a reputable art/antique dealer. If you want to verify authenticity, I would suggest you call your insurance company and ask them where to get it appraised. Please be aware, though, that there may be a fee involved.

Go to an Auction House, that specializes in photographs from that time period, and ask about your Mata Hari photo. Look in the Yellow Pages under Auction Houses, call and tell them about your photo and ask their opinion.
