For starters, click on "Behind the Scenes" and check out that lighting! You might also click on "Contact" and see if Dave Hill will give you his secrets.

im just an amatur photographer, but im a designer with alot of experience with using photoshop to get the "look i want"

from what i see im pretty sure
1. everything is definitely staged
2. there are layers of differnt photographs
3. the differnt photo graphs are using differnt angle lens.....so people and cars look so fisheyed and some enviroments are so obviously wide angle.......but then another object of the person is completely unscewd

4. alot of tweaking... hes added in alot of things. like the photo of the girl on the couch with the ball and paddle....the ball wasnt in the photo garenteed. theres no way to get that ball still in a low lit scene like he is showing...... and forgot some ....like shadows under people

also he has a very nice camera :P

Also i just looked it up...hes Very good... annd what i thought he might be doing is similiar to hdr. im sure he just does it all

I don't think its HDR. They look almost cartoonish to me. I love them so I hope someone is able to answer you so I can find out too! LOL

Lots and Lots and LOTS of layers and high pass filters. LOTS. And that's AFTER the amazing lighting set ups, etc.

Wow, this guy's good.
Lots of layers and lots of time.
And probably a graphic arts degree.
