Does anyone have some cool, unique senior pictures or celebrity studio shots that would be ideas for senior portrait shots? I dont want the typical sitting by a tree or black and white with a red rose.

Try the railroad tracks, or an old, abandoned industrial site. Or an ultra-modern industrial site, but be certain to have permission first. Otherwise you might be arrested for spying or terrorism plotting.

Try to incorporate your interests into your photos. I am a ProFo, and do portraiture. I do my best to get to know my subjects and put them in their "surroundings". For instance, one young man loved to ride motocross so I took some great shots of him with his motorcycle, (yes it was a senior picture), another young lady enjoyed dance, we went to her dance studio and I got some great shots of her while dancing. Just try and be creative. A picture should tell a story about you. When someone looks at your senior pictures, they should know what you are like, and get a feel for what you are interested in. That's why I always hated portrait studios like Sears or JC Penny, the pictures they produce are crap and the people look fake. Dynamic photos are always original and should tell a lot of the subject. Hope this helps. Good luck.

How about going completely Retro all the way back to the 1930s and the heyday of Hollywood glamor. The master of the genre was George Hurrell.

George Hurrell's photos of Jean Harlow and Judy Garland for example: http://www.hurrellphotography.com/Hurrell/photos1.html
or Anita Page

One of those sure wouldn't be the "typical" senior portrait!
