I've been shown some photos that seem to be distorted in such a way that there's an unnatural curve either going through the middle of the pic, or else a sort of "bending" effect. The photographer claims that this is natural -- happened when the picture was snapped, and was not digitally manipulated. Any thoughts?

I asked a question yesterday regarding the best pencils and paper for a beginner. Now that I know what type of materials to buy this weekend, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to go beyond drawing faces. I am on a tight budget as is, and can't really afford to buy a book or books. My job hours prevent me from getting to the library, so I was wondering if there are websites out there? I feel like I am stuck in a rut. Although, since I have never drawn in my life, it seems like a good idea to continue practicing the one thing I tried to draw that I am actually getting a positive result with. Suggestions?

There not big some are 8 x10 to 11 x 14 aprox. all are water color and if I must say are quite loveley some are abstract while some arent, but are all impresive, would like to sell them but do know where to start. Any sugjestions??

The portrait is in dark colors and the man has a small mustache and a red beret on. there is no signature of who painted it. Also it was painted on the upson board from lock Port, new York. Any ideas about where or who may have painted it?

Ok I keep getting in an arguement with my friends. I really respect The Suicide Girls (My girlfriend even is thinking about becoming one!) and I really do consider all of their pin ups Art! Alright... when you have a color like yellow-orange do need to add more yellow or more orange? and which color do add to which (like you know how you start with the lighter color first is it the same when you mix intermediate colors? )
