a brief summary of understanding bergers way of seeing im working on a paper and it just doesnt make sense so if anyone could help
i have to look at art and analyze it and was wondering if someone could give me a list of things to look for

It's been a while, so I don't remember the book very well. But I know when I look at art, I look at formal elements: line, value, color, space, texture - then I look at principals: rhythm, repetition, variation.

You can look at relationships with other artwork that may have influenced the artist - or if the work is completely original or unique, outside influences such as the historical influences or society at the time the work was created.

I don't know if this directly relates to your question, but it's a way to look at art anyways.
