I have to make a photo essay for one of my classes, on the American Dream. How do i go about doing that?
PLEASE!

your photos have to tell a story.....think of what most americans do....use a family...at work, play and school. Gordon Parks did that with his famous photo essay on people who worked in industrial settings all dirty with heavy equipment around ...then took photos of them all cleaned up at home with their families.

first think about what your point about the american dream is.
then stage the photos or find examples of it that you can photograph. for instance if you were to say that wealth is the american dream take picitures of people im highclass areas. if you think the american dream is freedom.. maby take pictures of imigrants. maby its a combination.
it always helps me to write out my ideas and draw thumbs of posible shots or perspectives. hope it helps
