The wind is the color of what it carries with it, only duller and influenced by the color of the light or the objects around or behind it. If the wind carries sand on a sunny day, it may be a dull yellow perhaps grayed or blued by the light of the sky. It will usually be darker in value than the background because it obscures it, although it could be brighter if it's struck by light and a dark object is behind it.

Alternatively, the wind may be the color of the mood or emotion you wish to evoke. Is the wind a cool gentle breeze? It might be bluish. Is the wind from an oncoming storm? It might be greyer or more ominous. Is the wind from a nearby forest fire? It may be red to indicate the heat.

So, to indicate wind, ask these questions and then take the color of whatever is behind the wind and adjust it appropriately - duller, darker or lighter, warmer or cooler - to suit your desires.

That question is interesting. never thought about it before. The wind's colour is unseen. It's a motion of air. Have u try to draw the wind? I think when we draw the wind, it depends what kind of wind, Is it strong or slow.
What is the backgound
Where is the wind, is it in the trees, grass or people
Just use your imagination

Yes, and what is the color of a shadow is a better question, because wind has no color at all; except maybe when it's a sand wind. Wind is MOVEMENT and that is what you should show in your paintings: start "brushing" always from the direction of the wind, then ... it's your inspiration not mine.

Excellent question!

Cool, but not cold; warm; but not hot, apparent, but not obvious; spiritual, but not pious; powerful, but not threatening, gentle, but not limp.

Your own number will be the best for your creation.
