I get so frustrated because everytime I ink a drawing by hand, it looks all wrong. The ink always seems to bleed no matter what kind of paper I use. Can you guys give me some advice?

Pretend like you are drawing on a sleeping baby. Have a light touch.

it sounds like your watering down the ink, or that the brand of ink is watered down. I'd try higgins or windsor and newton india ink on bristol paper, or at least drawing paper with a piece of scrap paper underneath so it doesn't bleed through.

Go with standard Bristol Board, and keep your hand away from the wet ink, if you are using pen and ink, be more careful about keeping eveything dry. A low dryer will help as well.

try using picture paper. its thicker than most paper and it can be found almost anywhere.
