We all need Renaissance artists, where ever they were from whatever they learned. Their art is not realistic anyway. What ever does that mean. They are all over Europe and all over the time frame called the Renaissance. It occurred at different places at different times and with different results. The "realism" you desire or believe in I think you will in Northern Europe. Here is one free name Albrect Durer. Get busy and push a search button.

John French Sloan (August 2, 1871 – September 7, 1951) was a U.S. artist. As a member of The Eight, a group of American artists, he became a leading figure in the Ashcan School of realist artists.
