I am auditioning for a local community theater production of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" and I need to have a 1-2 minute monologue. We can have either have a comic or serious monologue. I just read a summary of the play and from what I can tell it is serious with some comedic moments. I also called my local library and I will be picking up a copy of the play later today. Does anyone have any suggestion? Thanks for your help.

ok so i really want to be on broadway, im planning on auditioning for the musical theatre program at university of northern colorado in a couple of weeks and i was just wondering if anyone had anytips on auditioning for a college program. im taking private voice lessons, dance lessons and a musical theatre class so im at the studio four days a week. Im fairly new to the musical theatre thing i just did my first show this past summer but it has something i've always been pasionate about but have been unable to do it because of tension with my mom. i do have a back up plann so when/if i get into unc i will double major with chemistry ( hopefully that will always be a back up plan) but can you guys give me tips for auditioning for a college and some voice warm ups or whatever that i can do at home on my piano on my days off from the studio?
thank you all soooo much i truly appreciate it!!!~

the play is supposed to be for Little Women. The director says that it is very very hard and that the actresses need to live up to the part. I dont know exactly what part i am auditioning for but i am auditioning. Any scripts that would be good to use? This is my first play and i am a freshman. Any ideas on how to focus? I have a tiny bit of stage fright and when i do something wrong i tend to laugh it off i dont want to do that on stage. I have good memory skills so i dont need help with that but everything else i need help on. Good monolugues are a great help and ways to get into that part. Thank you very much web sites are a great help to

Please don't give me a link to a website with a lot of monologues on them, because I've already looked at them all. If you know of a specific monologue please tell me what it's called and what play it's from. I prefer comedic monologues but dramatic is good too. (please no shakespeare) ... also, I'm 17 and the part I'm trying out for is Dolly in You Never Can Tell.
Thanks!
