The straight up answer to your question is: it shouldn't cost you ANYTHING to get an agent. That is.... an agency shouldn't charge you money to sign you. They make their money by taking a percentage of your paycheck for each job you do, which is usually 10%.
The roundabout answer is: a whole lot of money. Though it won't cost you any money to actually obtain the agent, the resources and things you need to even get the agency to pay attention to you are very expensive. Classes, headshots, photocopies of resumes, mailing supplies.... all these things cost money. And lots of it.

Many thousands. You'll need years of classes before you are good enough to act professionally. That costs money. You'll need professional headshots. You'll need to pay the postage to send them out. About 90 cents each. Then once you get signed you'll need to be free all day which will limit what you can do for a living. The agent doesn't actually charge a fee. Everyone who knows anything about the business knows that. They also know that there are tons of ignorant people with no experience of any kind who think they can get an agent just like that and start auditioning. Those people make real actors sick. They have no respect for what we do. They've done nothing to earn the priviledge to audition and think they can get what we had to work for, for many years just like that. Forget getting an agent. You can't get one and if by some miracle you did you'd wet yourself at a professional audition.

Big R. is very right. you do to school, take drama class and be in all the school plays, your read plays and books about acting, your might take acting lessons, you might need a physical trainer. You might need speech lessons. and you need your parents' approval to get an agent and to work as an actor.

Legitimate agents take a percentage (often 15%) of the fee for work they get for you, so you don't pay any fees right up front. There are a lot of hopeful people getting scammed by "agents" who don't know any better than to pay for the service before it happens. Don't be one of them.
