Im already in Drama Club, but im more into television. How do i get started in the buisness? Im 16, i live in Miami Florida (the good part). Where do I get an agent? Any websites? I told my mother about it and she's all for it. I told my friends, and they think im to fat to be an actress, which really made me mad, and kinda pushed me farther to grab what i want.

Im really scared of speaking in front of people, and now I have this "Enlish Enrichment" class, and were have to do things on stage in front of people, and soon do a play. I sound EXTREAMLY nervous when I am speaking. And my heart is beats really hard. How do I get rid of my stage fright?

My old high school is allowing me to audition for the upcoming play. the way they assign parts is a little unfair. the leads are given to students that participate every play, and the newer people (even if they have great acting skills) get the extra parts. I have never auditioned for anything more than a commercial and thats not very hard. my other plays were at my private school of 45 kids so everyone gets a good part and the class is small. this class has over 100 kids in it. most have been mean to me in the past. how can i put all this behind me and show them how good i really am (and maybe change their minds on who gets the lead/supporting roles)? i have to sing for it and im not supe confident in my singing. everyone who has heard me (except for two people) says i am great. any tips to not sound nasaly? thanks.

I am going to a casting call for extras in a feature film in a couple of days. They have asked for a picture and a resume. The only acting experience I have is being an extra in a commercial recently. I have a couple of special skills but nothing exciting. No acting training, no theater...I think my resume will look pretty empty and pathetic! I know they don't usually require resumes for extras but this ad definitely said so. How do I go about beefing it up? Also, instead of a headshot, would it be okay to print like a 4 x 6 directly on my resume?

i want to be an actress in movies but it always seems so difficult to make it in england as all the main movies are in america. it took me a whole year just to pluck up the courage to tell my mum i wanted an agent but she still doesnt seem supportive. how can i achieve my ambition without the support of my family and without contacts to get me started.

So I have always been really shy but have had a secret desire to perform. Today I bit the bullet and signed up to a 10 week acting class. Now I'm a little scared as I don't know what to expect. I just turned 18 so I was too old for the youth drama and had to settle for adult. I'm scared that I will be the worst in the class and everyone will be older and more confident. Has anyone here gone to acting classes before. What was the atmosphere like. Did you feel at ease. I'm starting to regret signing up but I also know that if I back out know I'll never do it.

See, everyone in my class has to participate in a play in order to get full marks at the final exam. It sounded fine at first, but then I'm told that I'm supposed to act out the first scene. Basically, I have to run into a room screaming that I saw a ghost. It's my first time being in a play. But all I know is that I have a tendency to get REALLY nervous, and I don't wanna bomb the whole play up by my hideous stuttering! So, uh, if anyone has any advice or tips on the preparation, I'd really appreciate it.

I was just wondering how I can further extend myself in order to go to get parts in commercials and further myself into tv or movies. Are there any A-list actors that cannot bring themselves to tear up? Are most actors emotionally charged so find it easy to tear up. I for one have heard the secret to believeably cry is to think of something really sad you've experienced... and it'll make you cry. I am unable to tear up in acting, what methods help?

I want to get into Acting....I live in Virginia, But there is one thing I don't know how to get started. I've been in Acting classes for some time now and I love it, People say I'm good at it.
