beautiful or personality models... please read on?

Question

Why do agentcies pick models for their looks, what about their personality. What if their was someone who had the BEST personality but wasn't the most beautiful girl out there.

An agent's primary job is to find models that fit the right "look" for their clients' advertising needs. However, a model's personality could definitely work against her if she is mean or hard to deal with, because no matter how pretty she is, photographers, makeup artists, and designers aren't going to want to work with a snotty diva. Did you ever see on America's Next Top Model when they sometimes send the models on challenges and they don't tell them that a big-name designer or photographer is posing as an assistant or someone unimportant? They always have hilarious hidden-camera footage of some of the models being total b****es, and then Tyra calls them out for being so rude.

Unfortunately (and I know I'm going to get flack from all over for this one!!!) you find too often that pretty faces and warm personalities do NOT mix well. In my experience as a fashion and model photographer the more beautiful models usually are down right b!tches! It is as if they feel they don't need to be friendly nor have a nice personality, for their beauty will "get them anything they desire"! Unfortunately most models work for the printed media, and you can not (yet!) publish personality, warmth and friendliness on a glossy magazine page . . . so looks do still have to count more than anything else in modeling!

Its called modeling thas why the looks have to be there first then in the shot of picture you will see the personality come threw.
It also is not the most beautiful person either , some of the strangest looking people take the best pictures , I guess it is who takes the best picture.
