I need to creat a avalanche on a stage because it is part of the show. How do I do it?

There are people on stage and some of them should be burried in the snow!

You are all missing the point. Characters need to be buried in the Avalanche.

Lighting and sound FX, and a large white Nylon sheet either flown, or simply dropped from the Grid. THEN add the Styrofoam blocks, packing Peanuts, etc. The actors can then extract themselves from the sheet.

hang plastic trash bags of shredded paper over the set, the number of bags will of course be decided by the size of the set. Riga pull cord through the bags so that when it is pulled the bags will release the shreddings causing a sudden snow fall effect. If shreddings aren't available use container filling (Styrofoam) for snow instead............. to bury your actors , have a white blanket pre staged on he floor out of sight. When the snow falls have them pick it up and cover to give the illusion they totaly covered in the fake snow. good luck
