physical and emotional are closely linked, think of a time in your life when you were really hurting, something that made you incredibly sad, and bring it to the surface. you really just have to imagine the most awful thing ever. Whenever I need to cry on the spot I think of my father and how upset I was when he died.

Prolonged physical pain is difficult bedause we rarely experience it or have anything to remember that was continuously painful. Now something like a fight scene, there is the satge combat side of the coin and there's the "go for it" side of the coin. This depends on the script, the actors, how close you are to the audience, etc. We performed battle scenes in Julius Caesar at just under full speed in the interest of safety -- swords were being used and the audience was very very close to the action. But in the fight scene between Petruchio and Kate in Taming of the Shrew, we just went for it. I was fortunate to have a Kate that I had great personal chemistry with; we had worked together before in another show as boyfriend-girlfriend. So I just told her "Slap me." And she did. And it hurt ... for a little while, then it went away. The rest of the fight was a lot of wrestling around and rough-and-tumble but nothing else like the slap that started it all.

Well the best way 4 me is to think of somthing that makes me real mad, and get into that motion of how I felt at that time, and I act it out. But you got to feel it to act it.

At the top of my hat, I think you could imagine that someone is producing you pain but you can't tell them because you're mute, so you have to communicate the pain as loud as you can.

First of all: DO NOT GET HURT! Practice, practice, practice.
Use Writhing,Grimacing, and Yelling/Screaming to convey your character's pain. Convey Terror and Despair. Basically, act.
If you have to ask "How?", take a few more classes.
