so i'm in highschool and yesterday we had auditions! yesterday was the "singing" audition... just to see if you could sing, about 130 kids auditioned. 21 of us made call backs and that was today! so now, we went up in groups of 4 to 8 and we would sing together, separately and pair up also. They had me up there for cinderella, mother, step sister 1, step sister 2 and the god mother. i was up there forever! the most any body else auditioned was for 2 parts... now i'm wondering, is it a good thing that they had me singing so many times or what?

they saw me practicing and doing it perfectly then but when i did it for real my partner and I froze......iot was a total fluke but anyway.......
will someone with experience please tell me what they think is going to happen????

does anybody know a well-known play in which there is a main character that is about 15ish years old that has to do with childrens theatre - including some 2-beat oklahoma-ish style songs?preferably a musical - i need this info for an audition i am doing.

you can just put like a list of the plays that you know down- a small summary would be nice, tho.

here are two examples:
"annie get your gun"
"you're a good man, charlie brown"

but i need other plays - as many as you know.
thank you soo much!!!

I saw Rent on Broadway for the 3rd time today, but it was my first time seeing it with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. And omg, I can't say enough how amazing they were! I really want to go back to see them again before they're gone, and I was thinking of going to the stage door to try to meet them. Does anyone know exactly where the stage door is? Also, where would be the best place to exit the theatre so that I can get to the stage door quicker? And has it been really crazy there since Anthony and Adam have come back? I heard it is, which is why I didn't go there today. But I would def like to try to if it's feasible.

Also, I know they raffle off seats in the front 2 rows a few hours before each show. Anyone ever participate in this? Were there a lot of people hoping to get seats? Or was there not many? Any advice which shows would be best to try to do this for? What would be the best way to get seats within the 1st 3 rows?

Thanks!

NO DAY BUT TODAY! :)

I'm a mezzo soprano, and I would like to try out for my schools production of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. I would like the part of Lucy or Sally, prefrably Sally. If you could help me, that would be great.

I am going to an audition for my school's production of Urinetown in a short while, and I'm hoping to be cast as Hope. I am a soprano with belt. However, at auditions one cannot say which role they would prefer, and we are generally only asked to sing once. There are no callbacks, just the cast list after primary auditions. I know that I want to be Hope and I need to communicate that with the song I use for my audition, in which I would like to show off my soprano range. Any suggestions on what to sing for auditions? Any help is very much appreciated.

I want to be an actress and I try to find auditions for films in numerous websites, but every film I submit to, I have to give them my mom's credit card number and pay like 3 or 4 dollars just so I could have a chance to audition. But my mom won't allow that. She doesn't trust them, because she's afraid that they're going to charge more. She thinks that this whole thing is a scam. So is this true? And do they at least accept money order? Help me?

I am in Theatre Production class in high school. We are going to produce a play soon, and the play involves a pool. But the school board will not allow us to use real water in the pool. What are some other cool ideas/ways we can portray water?

Hi.

I'm 13 and absolutly love acting. It's my passion; my dream. I know it seems like "oh, she's so young. She'll probably change her mind when she's older" but that's not true. I know for sure that this is what I want to do.
I have been in several plays and taken multiple classes on theatre, improv and film acting (and making.) I don't want to sound all conceded and cocky by saying "oh I'm so good" but people have told me I'm talented.
I really want to step it up a bit, move on to bigger things, not that I don't love acting in the local theatre. I just want to get more experience and have more of a challenge. The problem is, my parents don't agree. They say that I can consider a serious acting carreer when I finish college. They don't understand my love for acting. They think it is more of a hobby.
I really want to work larger films. Not for the fame. I don't want to be one of those shallow, hollywood wannabes. I just want to act...to do what I love. Any advice??

Do you know any good one minute monologues for auditions that you can copy paste here, or give me a link to? I want something I can move around to a little, not TOO comedic or melodramatic, and relatively clean. Anything spoken by a sociopath or flirtatious woman would be good.

im writiing a script and its about a girl who talks to the camera as if the camera is a person she also shares her emotion to the camera...

so out of these which one would it be.....

Exterior monologue: This is where the actor speaks to another person who is not in the performance space or to the audience.

Interior monologue: This is where the actor speaks as if to himself or herself. It is introspective and reveals the inner motives to the audience. This is also a common device in stream of consciousness writings. Frequently in modern theatre, the actor may deliver the monologue in an "aside" (or a sequence of asides).

and would i include it in my script??? and where abouts?
