It will give you on camera experience and material for a reel so theoretically, it could in that respect.

None of us could tell you that or not but I will say that it's always good to be doing something similiar to what you really want to do in life. Being an actress, you'll probably be in front of a camera a lot so by being an anchor, you will get comfortable with being in front of camera. Being a news anchor will only help you.

It's one more thing to put on your actor's resume! It will give you on-camera experience! Will it help you become an actress - not necessarily, but it will improve your ability to work with a camera, because if you've never worked with a camera, it is SO much different than working on a live stage!
I say, go for it, if it is something you really want to do.

Well,the only way it will help is by getting you more comfortable in front of cameras and people watching you on camera.It won't help with acting though.But I do suggest you do it.Good luck! :)
