Just asking

I've been in the school play for years, and we just started doing musicals. I love it, but when I get in front of the directors to sing for tryouts and can't sing my best or loud enough. I know I can do it, and my friends agree. I just don't know how to get rid of this stage fright thing. HELP please!!!

I have seen hairspray the musical and have the CD, but I do not recall that song. I was reading Wikipedia and it said that it was in the Broadway musical. Also, is "Velma's Revenge" in the musical too?
Thanks!

In Macbeth what did the witches actually say that led Macbeth to believe he was actually king like the prophecies?

A while ago, on an episode of Jeopardy!, one of the answers dealt with Paul Giomatti saying or whistling something about "Macbeth" near a very superstitious Al Pacino. What's up with that? And are there any other superstitions? Just a curious writer...

Im doing the play the jungle book, and i have the part of Shere Khan the tiger.
I need ideas on movement (we are standing not crawling) as I don't know whether i should act more cat like, being that he is a tiger, or whether I should act more proud and arrogant, being that he rules the jungle.

any ideas on improving my part
or links to videos of jungle book plays?

There is no acting schools in the state where i live. I am only 28, no College. I was just merely curious as to wondering what a person must have in order to become an actor in a Hollywood Motion Picture. I personally, would love to be a John Wayne -- as in being a Western Star. I know i do not have talent of any sorts just asking.

please? tnx!
a line from juliet
'Tis but thy name that is my enemy; Thou art thyself, though not a Montague. What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot, Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part Belonging to a man. O, be some other name! What's in a name? that which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet; So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd, Retain that dear perfection which he owes Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name, And for that name which is no part of thee. Take all myself.

tnx. i really need it!!

we want to have the scratches on the face, hands and possibly arms. Does anyone know how to fake this but make it look real? I would need a detailed answer in order to replicate.

So for my hsc im doing drama, and we have to do an individual performance. I can kind of relate to my character. I am adapting a piece from a play called "Invisible Friends" and the character i play is a teenager who pretty much has an invisible friend still from childhood who keeps her company as her family has kind of rejected her in a way.

Its not a teenage angst piece, it focuses on the invisble friend and when i'v finished writing it, it will be about finding a way to be able to exist with out this fictional person who has kept the character from being lonely.

Its a really good piece that im trying to make as real as possible, and i was thinking for learning more about the character and becoming her more, if writing a diary or journal BY HER would be a good way to do this. she's a teenager so its something she would do, and i would write it (hopefully) in character.

Do you think this is a good idea?

For drama, we're doing duos, and i have to find a good monologue for us to do. I really want a funny monologue, and I've been looking forever, but I can't seem to find one. I was wondering if anyone had a specific part in a movie that would make a good monologue.
