I just wrote in my diary, and I read something that I wrote and it just makes perfect sense. Do you think I'm on to something here? (this is directly from the diary)
"I think our conceit and our values come in pairs. My values include not judging by appearences, so I pride myself on not judging. I value intelligence in others, so I must think myself slightly witty. Oh, it's so ironic. What makes us admirable makes us full of ourselves, our attributes can be our own selfish downfalls if we over-appreciate them, and the meager and modest trait that gives you the small bit of confidence that you need can also push you over the edge of pompousness in another sitaution. It actually all makes perfect sense, doesn't it?"

I think it's quite a unique way of thinking. Would you agree?

Do people really think these three are synonimous? these are three very seporate beleifs. Epicureans just don't beleive in an afterlife, or in devine jugment. where do people get the idea that they dedicate their lives to sin or fun? Atheists just don't beleive in a god. again people seem to think that they dedicate their lives to sin or fun. as for Satanists, they acually beleive in a powerful supernatural being and the afterlife, therfore they are not Atheists or Epicureans. Please feel free to add more info on their diferences. as for you who do beleive that they are synonimous, please do not insult me. thank you.

What is wrong with my premises or logic. My logic skills are a little rusty, but im tryin to prove that life can not be destroyed. It helps if you took a logic class.
Here are my premises, and my reason for them being true in paranthesis:

If something is alive, then it has mass.
(otherwise it wouldnt exist)
If something has mass, then it has energy.
(E=MC2)
If something has energy, then it cant be destroyed.
(Law of Conservation of Energy)
Something is alive.
(Otherwise, I couldnt be typing on my computer.)

Thank you for your answers. :)

What would you do? I mean you could ABSOLUTLY anything and not be penalized for it later. OR for you religious folks. You could not be judged for this specific day in Gods eyes. You could get away with A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G. so what'll it be?

In this hypothetical Q., you are auctioning yourself off to the highest bidder for life, if they pay the reserve. The winning bidder agrees not to harm you according to the laws by which parents can raise their children e.g. the winner could, if he/she so wished, feed you only on cornflakes, stop you from seeing anyone, control how you spend your time, when you must sleep, how much money you shall have (if any), etc. Also, if they wish, you would be their 'partner' according to the legal guidelines for a married couple.

How does this thought expiriment comment on the nature of free will?

PS, I am assuming a non-dualistic world view (no souls, angels, demons, Gods, magic etc.) so please answer accordingly.

If this is so, is it not possible that 'we' created ourselves, in the future??

It would actually still go with what the bible states: 'let 'us' make man, in 'our' image'.

A paradox?

I am not religious!!
