I've always lived by the saying, "Success is the best revenge". Show this person that betrayed you that you can do so much better without them and ignore them. Don't play the victim, be a survivor. Hold your head up high as if nothing happened and go show the world how kick-@$$ you are!

It may all depend, Revenge is only effective if the person you are doing it to will care, If they do not you will only look like a fool. But often killing a person with kindness is the best way to go.
My Boyfriend and I were having some problems a while back, I got him back by hitting him where I knew it would hurt the most. You just have to find a persons weakness. But Like I said more times than not killing a person with kindness is the way to go.

with the books iv read and the experiences i have had,, revenge is not the way to go, like imagine, you were hurt badly by someone elses greed and selfisness, then you decided to lay inta them in a vengeful way its like building hate ontop of already burning hate and burns you up inside and does neither the person nor you any good. i wouldn't advise it at all really

A waste of time. Exception: if the act of revenge can reasonably deter the culprit from further offense -- which is seldom the case, short of murder.

since i have been betrayed by my closest friends i can answer this question - if they haven't they don't know.

honestly you have to work through it and forgive them, it only tears you up if you dont. but you may not continue contact either. - it's a hard thing. you have to let go of the anger.

it just hurts you - they sleep fine at night - you are the one tossing and turning.

Well not sure of the details of your betrayal, if it was a lover/spouse, I always say to fulfill all of their sexual fantasies with someone who knows them, that way they find out.

and remember Revenge is dish best served cold.
