80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Life has a nature more than a ‘Meaning’

On the fundamental level life must
1.) Collect Energy
2.) Reproduce
3.) Protect itself.

In human terms this translates into: Get a job, Have some kids, & Be careful.

Well, life comes with many choices, morals and values. One should choose good to have a long life. First of all, if one doesn't have love, then how can they love life? Life comes with many advantages like, love, peace, friends, ,joy , and happieness. Having an optimistic life is best describe as virtue. On the otherhand, life has longsuffering and obsticles, and everyone is able to get through them. Everyone has a purpose in life, that is to love one another, and love good, seek out thier dreams, become prosperous and successful, be fruitful and multiply, make a POSITIVE difference in the world and be greatful to have life.

You can get a feeling of having meaning without actually having real meaning. It is an illusion, of course, but it feels good.

Living for a purpose would give us a feeling of worth. Getting praise from other people, real or imagined, also gives us a feeling of worth. So do something praiseworthy such as help someone change a flat tire, then praise yourself and imagine others praising you. Your mind will lead you to think that helping others is why you were put here on earth. The illusion is that your real objective is not to help others but just to get good feelings for yourself.

Real meaning can only come from living for a real purpose, i.e. why am I here and what am I supposed to do. Real purpose requires a Creator by the very definition of the word.

food.
everything we do centers around food. the food table is placed in the center of the room. we drop what we are doing to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. we share meals with neighbors, friends, and relatives. It brings people together from the people who pick the food, the drivers who gfet the food to the grocery store, the grocery store workers. Everyone loves the smell of good food. it put happy faces on the sad, the hungry, the bored, and the tired. No holiday is celebrated without food. Even ethiopians who rarely eat - i'm sure it makes their day when they come across or are given free food. Food is the meaning of life.
