I mean, how do you know you're really here?

How do you know if this is all a dream?

Or if it's someone elses dream?

So- it was more like, a question to come up with creative answers. Not an offering for suicide.

I don't feel like i'm not real. (anymore!)

My biology teacher once asked us this same question. We discussed it for 2 days....

Actually these type of questions can be fun to think about and discuss. When I was growing up in the late 40's, 50's we had endless fun thinking about outer space, future space travel, things like that....Of course no one had made it further than 20 or so miles up. Actually the space program spoiled a lot of this fun by making the answers available. As one congressman said, "Space is 10 times as boring as we thought and 10 times as expensive". ah but I digress...

Keep up your questions and have fun thinking about them, many famous people have had a little trouble with the borderland between reality and fantasy. Roland Polanski for one....but he made a great movie director.

But to directly answer your question:

I know it is not my dream because if it were everyone would be much happier and safer than they seem to be now.

If it's someone else's dream, than I wish he would wake up, have a cup of sleepy-time tea to relax, then go back to bed in a better mood.

honestly it doesnt matter - no different than whether or not we were conceived by a "god" or we spawned through evolution from monkeys. What we as humans never do is appreciate what we have until we lose it. Imagine a super high and wondering when it will wear off .....then once you come back down, you cant wait to take flight again. Enjoy the beauty in your surroundings...real or not because they are all interpreted a certain way by your eyes only.

I can't prove that I'm real to anyone but myself, so ultimately that's all that matters...all the more reason that other peoples' opinions about you are far less important that your own.

i have felt that way many times before too... life is weird like that... you never know what is fantasy and what is reality... my advice is to just not think about it and go with the flow.. live your life to the fullest.. our existence in this world can sometimes be very surreal but there is nothing we can do but LIVE

Because A is A.

And if you don't believe that, walk off a cliff - since you're not really here and part of a dream.

It always interests me that people can spew such nonsense yet not act on it.
