Things work out at times but it seems the reward is almost always a contorted and compromised version of what was being sought after in the first place...

I don't believe anyone should accept the Nobel Peace Prize.

One who truly works for peace should have no desire for a prize. One seeks peace because of the principles they stand for...whether you are recognized or not.

Is this a far fetch idea?

If you had read my earlyer question, you know that I haven't been able to write any thing for the past three months. Well some one had told me to go over my other works and see if I couldnt find anything. Well I did. In one story I had planned to kill this girl off, but I can't do it! There's a missing element and if I can't nail it perfect, then it's no good to me? Does any one have sample work of killing people in writing?

Instead of being caught up in all the worlds affairs?
How do you strike a balance and live a well-adjusted life without letting the world's confusuion ( and all that's in it) affect you?

Seems to me, many equate wealth with unhappiness.

I don't know about that. While money may not be able to "buy" happieness, it sure makes life a lot more comforable and secure.

Isn't that, to a large degree, what happiness is about? Being able to take care of the people you care for. Knowing that you have the where with all to make thier lives secure.

So why the general consensus that people with money are unhappy?

Is it simply envy?

I ask this question because God has given me (among MANY other things) personally so much strength, courage, and determination to live my life. This has resulted in me having the faith to face any problem heading my way - head on, which allows me to have faith - in that everything will always be ok.

God to me means an ever-lasting light and love of such purity we can not understand it. To me God means everything that is good, pure and holy, but God is also a friend who will never tire of listening to you, helping you and carrying you when you need help...

If you CAN choose something you don't want to choose, doesnt it then BECOME your choice, thus never actually choosing what you didnt want to choose?

So if you can only choose one thing, that which you want, can you choose your 'wants'? Can you choose to want to eat food? Can you choose to want to have sex? I dont think you can, so even your 'wants' themselves arent choice.

So, in conclusion, Is 'choice' an illusion? Because according to my above statements, you can only 'choose' one thing( that which you want ), and that one thing isnt a choice.
