Boredom is a thing of the past.

It can best be described as a lack of interest or curiousity in what exists. It is the lack of excitement or anxiety that many people need. It's usually a precursor to spending time thinking.

Boredom is a product of our imagination.

First I hate the word boredom as it is always compared to everyone else sense of boredom. I don't get bored too often but to others my sense and thoughts of boredom is not what theirs is. Example I love to read, i can crawl up on the sofa with a book and read for days. I can lay on the sofa for a couple of hours, and enjoy the quiet of the room, or just watching ScFi for a couple of hours, I can sit by the pool and day dream as the water dances with the wind, or I can go clean the flower bed and pull weeds, to me being bored is standing around acting like I have work to do and I don't. That is boring..

Boredom to me is just a lack of creativity in finding something fun, productive or otherwise engaging to do with your time. Sometimes some boredom is unavoidable, but often there is always something interesting that one can be doing. You just have to use your noggin....

Life is too exciting to be bored. Anyone claiming to be bored is not using their mind. I have been too busy all my life to be bored. I went to a party one time and all the people there were on a different wave length from me. The dog and I communed, she was a pure bred husky and we had a great time. So, how in the devil can anyone be bored. I don't have a definition for boredumb. Blessings on you.

When you can't find the bit about something that you enjoy or love... you might say you are bored sitting in your house one afternoon with nothing to do... but having something to do doesn't mean you won't be bored. It's a state of mind I think, and you can overcome it by completely investing yourself in what you are doing, spending every moment wisely even if you are waiting in a doctor's office for four hours.
