Descartes was one of the philosophers who put emphasis on the power of the mind. According to his reasoning, we know that we exist because we are able to have thoughts about our existence. We can form thoughts about reality, which is what proves reality. By his line of reasoning, the fact that imagine God proves that He, too, exists. His philosophy was an early predicator to many of the modern inventors, in that, they learned that there was nothing that could not be achieved if it could be imagined. From electricity, recorded audio and video, powered flight, the automobile, to computers, space travel, and genetic engineering.
