The Bible says we should set our minds on things above, not on the things of this world. It says that because God knows that if you focus all your attention on this world, it's basically gonna kill you. The world is an evil place. God is good. He has a plan for each and every person. He has given you something to do to advance His kingdom to make this world better. You get to know Jesus Christ and find out what He wants you to do with your life and do it. You leave the rest to God to handle. Then you can live a well-adjusted life. To think that the world will never hurt you is wishful thinking, but God will sustain you through the hard times, give you good things as well, build your character/draw you closer to Him through the struggles, and eventually take you home to heaven where there are no more sorrows. Spend some time each day praying, reading your Bible, and praising God for the good things in your life and for who He is, because His position never changes. It'll start your day off right and help you to cope with the daily struggles of life. You'll also be more effective in doing what He wants you to do. I think, if you give it a shot, you will discover that God really does love you. It's not just something they teach in church. It's true.

Here you have that saying "ignorance is bliss" don't believe it. We as humans are suppose be informed, suppose to be engaged and centered at the same time. If we cannot accept the bad with the good, and dwell upon the only the bad interrupting our sence of good causing us and those around us a troubled life, then it is time for an adjustment in our thought process.

As mere humans we can not change the entire world, but we can change those things within our ability to do so. Our thinking makes situations either bad, worse, or good and manageable. All one needs to do is make the choice that he or she wishes to reflect in their thoughts and life.

Assuming most of us want good, and balance we can actually understand that although the world appears to be out of balance we only need to center our thinking to gives us the balance we need to get through whatever blows life may give us. Including horrific world affairs. For today is big with blessing and believe me if you are ignorant of what you have ... you will miss the blessings.

There's a name for the blissfully ignorant.

They are called lunch.

It is the strength of man to create and embrace complexity.

The confused are what's for dinner. Try not to be among them.
