everyone acts different no matter what age. when people say act your own age it isnt your age that they mean-its 40 years older than you are.
why do some people want to grow up so fast? is it wrong to live life looking at the bright side of things and being happy?

maybe i dont need to act older. you need to act younger. why not just enjoy life while you have it?

(or Oil, for that matter, or the lumber industry...even as passionate about environmentalism as I am...that would be a very tempting offer after living as a starving musician for so long...Would you "sell out?" Life isn't so complicated. Not everything has some deep hidden meaning. Not everything is the opposite of what it appears to be. Mostly what you see is what you get. The meaning of life is procreation. The only gift to the next generation is the experience of the previous generation.

Is it all too simple? Are you bored when things are exactly what they appear to be? Are you scared that people will think you stupid if you are willing to accept things as they are?

So is it possible for a human being to be happy if this person does not strive or look towards something other then him/herself?
With self-transcendence I mean love to somebody or something other then oneself, or faith in GOD, or fulfilling a goal or a task which does not concentrate on ones own physical and emotional well-being.
