A smile costs nothing, but gives a lot.

It enriches those who receive it without making poorer those who give it.

A smile takes only a moment, but the memory of it can last forever.

No one is so rich, or so mighty, that they can get a long without a smile.

And no one is so poor that they cannot be made richer by a smile.

A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business and is the

counter sign of friendship.

A smile brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the

sad and is nature's best cure for trouble

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen
for it is of no value to anyone until it is given away.

Some people are too tired to give a smile so give them one of yours as no one needs a smile so much as he who has no more of his own to give.

I understand that this question can be interpreted differently by different people, but I'm not looking for your personal meaning of life. I'm looking for a definitive answer to 'What is the meaning of life' that applies to everyone.

When I feel scared, it's probably because I'm leaving my comfort zone. If my comfort zone is staying sheltered away from the world, then leaving my comfort zone must mean that I'm putting myself back out there.

Therefore, does feeling fear actually mean that I'm doing the right thing and progressing?

I dont believe i will ever give up my principles, as they seem to come too naturally to me. However i have always been cynical as to my actual reasons for acting morally. I have no religious belief, or any spiritual beliefs at all, and i cannot agree that it is simply easier to get on in society if you're 'nice'. Why should i not just give up and do whatever i want, regardless of right and wrong?

Do you sometimes look forward to solutions to your problems in your dreams? Do you expect dream to provide you with solutions to problems that you are facing in life that are hard to tackle with your full consciousness and your subconscious kicks in and presents you with at least some hints?

I've had few occasions where I've got hints in dreams to certain issues I was facing. What are your thoughts?

Photons of light are continuously hitting the retina which stimmulates electrical impulses to pass to numerous parts of the brain, undergo numerous process of decoding the impulses, putting definition and meaning to each experience, edits irrelivant information and co-ordinates all this information to synchronize with other sensory information. To have a seamless vision with no gaps this process must surley occur faster than the speed of light otherwise there would be a gap in vision between one lot of photons hitting the retina and the next photon hitting the retina that can be processed by the brain. When things travell at the speed of light doesn't something happed to time?? Could this be a reason for premonitions occuring??

Jesus and Ghandi advocated thought control (your own thoughts!) as a way to stop the immoral at the source, but I personally cannot manage to practice this principle, even though I really would like to.

All things in this life seem to be subject to the law of cause and affect, except Love?

Is Love the only thing that is not subject to this law?

How do I recover from a bad "first sex" episode with a date whom I really loved. And I know she loved me too. She was experienced and I was novice and I unintentionally hurt her when we were having (attempting) sex. I did not mean disrespect but was silly, which just ticked her. Yes it was my mistake. I really miss her.

Anyway what I am looking is
1. Should I ask for forgiveness from her, will this soothe me at all ? Will it help her ?
2. Should I further communicate her and try to explain and get on ?

I'm in college now, having trouble trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life! I was wondering how did you people out there reading this 'figure out' what you wanted to do. Or if you just so happened to 'fall into' you life.

If hurting people unnecessarily is a sin, and in life, you cannot please everybody, how should one act? It is natural for there to be discrepancies in life where as with lovers, one is chosen and the other is not. Such decisions hurt people. Should one not admit to one’s feelings in order to omit the pain? Should one avoid these life cycles completely in order to avoid the chances? (Surely, in life people should take chances.) How can we justify to ourselves living in these vicious circles?
