Indifference.

Love requires possessing a feeling for something. The same is true of hate.

Possessing no feelings about a thing is indfference - and that is the true opposite of love (and hate).

It is possible to love and hate the same person. It is impossible to love and be indifferent to the same person though.

Game point. (Tennis anyone?)
Evol.

Two ways for me to look at this. Normally, I'd choose hatred as it is another very strong emotion but is the opposite feeling to love. But given that both emotions can be obsessive or at least incredibly strong feelings, one might choose the opposite to the strength of the feeling which is nul or 0 feeling. In that case I'd choose apathy.

Peace

I wanna say hate but the line is too fine, so i'll say since you really have to know someone to love or hate them, the opposite would be not knowing at all - unknown

Hate

Hate. Indifference is a complete absence of feeling about someone/thing and lust can be found within eros love...

I think it's a spectrum, with the desire to harm at one side, the desire to please and not harm at the other, with a sort of neutrality in the middle.

Even though the obvious answer is hate, but i think it can be more than that. You know, like being neutral, no love no hate.

Not anyother emotion (such as hate)
