There is no such thing as luck. "Lucky" people simply know how to attract positive experiences into their existence regularly by being happy.
Happiness attracts more happiness. They know how to take deliberate control of their thoughts, which in turn affect their emotions. How do you go from negative thoughts to positive thoughts when you feel like crap? Realize that YOU control your emotions, your emotions don't have to control you. You don't have to be a victim of life. It doesn't just have to happen to you.
When you are feeling a negative emotion, reach for the next best emotion. For example, if you are feeling depressed or hopeless, even anger is better than hopelessness. With anger you feel some sense of control, it can give you the kick in the pant you may need to take action, and with each action you may feel better and better, until eventually you reach a positive emotion such as hopefulness, optimism, passion, appreciation or even joy!
Listen to your feelings. They are your compass letting you know if you are in alignment with your desires. When you feel bad, you are not in alignment, not attracting positivity. When you feel bad you are in the midst of attracting negativity, so do what you can to turn it around.
When I am angry at something someone is doing, I try to put myself in their shoes. For instance, if my boss makes me mad by something he's said to me, I reach for something that feels better by telling myself that he is under a lot of pressure from management, he has a tough job, I would not want his job, I'm glad I have my job, I like my job, I like the pay, he's not a bad guy, he's having a bad day etc. Instead of remaining angry, which only hurts me in the end, by attracting more negativity. Forgiveness is a major part of attracting positivity. James Arthur Ray, one of the contributors to The Secret said on Oprah that "unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die." It doesn't work that way. It only hurts you.
Hope this was helpful. It's something I'm passionate about. My life is changing so much for the better since putting these practices into place in my own life.

I think the word luck is a bit ambigious. Because, people with good luck tend to be more aware and more equipted to have things in their life turn out better.
If you take a person with very leveled emotions and no learning disabilities and you put them up with a person who is ADHD and is dyslexic and you expect these two people to compete in a contest, the odds are that the first person would be the lucky one to win. Thus, you can say that the first person is a lucky person.
I think life is full of choices, misfortunes, luck, being in the wrong place at the wrong time., nuture, nature, state of mind and concentration.
There are way too many variables to use the term "luck" for anyone who does well in something.

Actually there is no such thing as luck, but it is still good advice to be prepared in case of opportunity. The nut is opportunity. It follows a definite course through the event field to arrive at that particular space-time cooordinate as you do. Appearing to the single event observer as being "lucky".

Yes there is such a thing as luck; however "Luck" is improper English it is English Slang, the correct term for "Luck" is "Divine Intervention" two quick examples; the great film "Midway" (1976) the movie ends by one admiral saying to another, "were we lucky"? In the battle of Midway Island two (2) American Carriers were going up against six (6) Japanese Carriers, both sides launched scout planes to find each others carriers one of the Japanese Scout Planes did not take off because the catapult did not function, it took several hours to repair. I looked up the historical records of this battle and discovered that the direction this Scout Plane was to take would have taken the Japanese Pilot DIRECTLY to the American Carriers; because of this Divine Intervention the American Pilots were able to find the Japanese Carriers first. Second; In his book "First Down and Life Time to Go" Former Dallas Quarterback Roger Staubach mentions that when his mom had only a few days to live mom went to see her son play at Texas Stadium, in that game Roger Stauback set Several NFL Passing Records.

There was a program a friend was telling me about, where they matched this 'lucky' person against an 'unlucky' person. They sent them into a shop or something, where there was a £5 note on the floor, and the lucky guy saw it and picked it up, whereas the unlucky one didn't see it.
So maybe it's just to do with outlook and the readiness of a person to take full advantage of their surroundings, because the unlucky person had just resigned themself to never having good things happen to them, and so didn't look for opportunities.

it would be nice if one prepared ones self with the general business knowledge in case a fool thing like good luck did drop in your lap.
it sucks if you are at the bus depot trying to catch a bus when your boat comes in.

I don't believe in luck. I do, however, believe in blessings from God.
