Not really, I think. I think the meaning of life is to find your passion and meaning in the world. Finding your passion probably leads you to finding your meaning and way of helping this world advance. Maybe finding your passion is something humans invented, to make life more interesting and mentally pleasing. For example, a student is really good at math, and that's the student's meaning, but math is a very boring subject for most (it could be the passion of some) so that student finds passion in art, or basketball. You get the point. So maybe passion is the escape from responsibility. It's all up to what you think, because there is no right or wrong answer to this question.

I think the true meaning of life, unfortunately because this isn't the answer you may be looking for, is to be found in what happens between the times, before the times, and after the times you are exercising you passion. What makes a person great is not one or two events in life that happen here or there, but rather the day-to-day living of life. That's life. But how will you live it?

The meaning of life is to find the meaning of life and if that is your passion then yes it is true. Most people make their life's meaningful by pursuing passions such as love or careers. So, your question can be answered by saying "it is true that the passion of life is to find your Meaning."

I believe that if there is a deeper meaning to our lives than merely enjoyment or happines until death, then this is close to being it. The euphoric feeling which you connect with your passion, whether it be an art, science or sport, is the closest thing to the spiritual idea of god or enlightenment that i have personally ever felt. I believe there is already a passion to be discovered by everyone, maybe even more than one, but regardless, it is the almost 'otherwordly' feeling of this passion that will connect us to the spiritual world, if it exists. And if it doesnt, you have found something to give you joy, meaning and purpose for the rest of your life.

Yes, and not only your passion but also your special talent. A lot of folks don't realize they were born with special gifts meaning they do something better than a great majority. For example, someone might have a gifted ear for music without ever knowing about it.

Life has different meanings for each individual and that definition changes as all things must change since life is never motionless.

Personally, life means to leave a legacy of great good, to help others and to give more than I receive, to serve more than to be served. I really want to make a difference that will outlive me, a legacy from the heart of God.

You must have seen Oprah. There were 3 people on there who'd dedicated themselves in service to others. One collected PJ's for homeless or abused children, One had been a CEO with Microscoft, gave it up and began an org. that collects books for 3rd world libraries. Another collected coupons that were used to buy food for her church's food pantry.

Their meaning of passion must be a drive to help others thereby gaining a feeling of well being for yourself.
