Love makes you ache for someone, which hurts. It also hurts because you never want to see THEM get hurt, which is bound to happen living in this world.

Love hurts because we are human and in being so we ave emotions. Love can be one of the most wonderful things but it can also be a curse.

Having your feelings returned is one of the greatest rewards in any relationship. But the alternative is the heartache and pain of rejection. Either is needed in our lives to show us just how much or little we need.

When the feeling is returned we know that we are fulfilling ourselves as well as someine else's life. When we are rejected we learn that something was missing on one or another part of the equation. No one is to blame in either situation, it is just life's little quirks.

Love is a form of attachment. When we attached to something, we feel hurt when we lost it, even if you don't love it. Think how hurt will you be if you are leaving your country for good and never come back again.

You've just answered your own question. Something that great has to have a downside. In this case, the downside being that when you care that much to feel that great, even the slightest disappointment, which is inevitable, since we're human, can also shatter your world.

Because you're putting your heart on the line. When you do this, you risk losing dignity, hope, trust, friends, lovers, and sometimes material things. Pretty much everything that matters. We give up a lot for love, and sometimes we don't get what we want out of it.

Love doesn't hurt at all. It is the judgment that we give it that hurts. Life in general is neither good nor bad, it is the judgments we place on things that make it that way.

Love hurts when we lose it, and because we are so arrogant
and selfish.
Let's leave alone that we take people for granted most of
the time.

In order to feel love, you have to first set yourself up to be vulnerable.

That's hard.

Vulnerability is essential so you can let that person in. Eventually, they may break your heart and you have to be strong enough to mend yourself and forgive.

When they break your heart (perhaps not intentionally), that's the hurt.

And yet, to feel that love in you, to feel that person taking care of your vulnerability and you feel so safe and complete, that is that other feeling you talk about.
