i jus recently hoped on the anime watching / manga reading banwagon and i watched a few recommended by friends, for example berserk, naruto, samaurai x just to name a few that really stood out to me and they all seem to have some inner philisophies about destiny, friendships, life or whatever hidden within thier fictional stories, have these type of shows always been like this ?

I always use to feel very inferior about myself. Especially in love. I alway feel that I am not fit for love. I want to behave very manly. How can I become very bold, manly with self confidence. What should I do to develop my personality (esp Look)?

Disclaimer: I am not trying to be accusing, I am just very curious.

I ask this because in the early days of my life in the church many times I have been beseeched to discontinue in my own philosophies. In other words, even though I was in my mind and heart faking the religious experience, I felt as though persecuted for asking questions, inquiring, etcetera.

Please tell me why some Christians are OK with Philosophy, when my experiences have been so bitter?
