Love seeketh not itself to please,
Nor for itself hath any care,
But for another gives its ease,
And builds a Heaven in Hell's despair.

I'm not suicidal by any means but like all people, I go through brief periods of melancholy where I just wonder why life is considered so much better than death.

Next time I go through one of those periods I'd like to tell myself, "Life is better than death because _____."

I think if we got enough answers we could make a good list that could really help people out.

For the first sight there's no so simple question, but in reality It's a bit difficult for me to explain this word as it changes from situation to situation. I think we can catch this feeling only for a short term, because like as mane things it can be woren out by the time.
What do you think about it at all?

I believe that defining ones sexuality is wrong. Its not a lifestyle, but moments of passion. Hetrosexuality, homosexuality and all sexual acts are there to create a marketable entity or a group that has defining characteristics designed to control the individual.

My homework assignment is to ask 6 friends what they think philosophy is, and compare their answers.

So, I am going to extend an offer of friendship to all of you, and ask this question. I'm not looking for a right answer, I just need to compare your answers to each other. Anyone who takes the question seriously will get a thumbs up, and one of the first to take it seriously will get 10 points.

Thanks!

"YOU EXPERIENCE WHAT YOU EXPRESS" or "YOU EXPRESS WHAT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED."

2007-01-07 15:31:57 · 23 answers · asked by SpiderQbeck 2

that says "You are what you experience" OR you would rather say "Experience is what shapes people" ?? In life we know many sincere, generous, good, people who in spite of their goodness becomes victim of the most devastating situations we feel is unfair and we wonder “God why this thing has to happen to them when bad guys are enjoying good life….??” Could we still say that they're what they experience ??
