Find the good in everything even when it is hard to do so.
Be happy with who you are and the people around you.
Want for nothing more then what you get.
Look beyond the skin of others and see them for who they really are.
Do not look at beauty of the flesh with envy but appreciate the fleeting moments that it is there.

But most of all be happy with yourself when you master this you will take on a glow that same glow that last a life time.

Ever seen an old women though her face is wrinked with time and her hair grey and thinned she still has a certain something?
Some call it cute, sweat, pretty or beautiful.
This beauty comes from the eyes it is the kind of beauty that shines out to the world and appeals to others.

I suppose finding one's inner beauty is a matter of soul searching. You have to be willing to look inside yourself and face who you really are - you have to be able to look truth in the eye.

But another way of finding your inner beauty is to act. Yes, you must do something - either help others, help yourself become a better person, which also helps others, create something (if you have an artistic bent), which also adds something to our world. In other words, not just look in the mirror, but go outside and be a contributor.

Are you serious? Do you expect people who found their inner beauty to speak to you in these columns and explain how they did find it? Or do you expect some generalist to educate you where to get books or what websites to see, on the subject..?

You evidently expect the latter suggestion... the theoretical perception of what great saints are believed to have experienced and what great scriptures have explained in more subtle (spiritual) languages that lend to multiple gross (worldly)interpretations...!

In Thaithreeya manthrakosam (Yajurvedic scripture) it is said of God - the inner resident of all creatures, the form and force of the outer universe and beyond - in these lines, "... where words return along with the mind, unable to perceive..." (Yatho vaacho nivarthanthe apraapya manasaa saha)...

The inner beauty is the effulgent divine spark that is ever in bliss (atmaanandha)... which can not be perceived by the instrumentalities of the ephemeral body, but intuitively cognized by a pure, egoless mind (the refined subtle instrument of the individual) only...

If you read the literature of any reputed spiritual institution (preferably outside religious denominations) like the Self Realization Fellowship of Sri Paramahamsa Yogananda , or Sri Ramakrishna Mission literature, or Sri Sathya /shirdi Sai literatures, etc, you may get a good exposure into the vast field of spirituality... that aims to find the inner spark of eternal beauty, exquisite love and everlasting peace...!

Inner beauty is based on your character, both when people are watching, and even when they are not.

That is why you can see a beautiful person, but after getting to know them, they don't look so great to you anymore. Also why when being around a less attractive person, you get to know them, and see them differently and more attractive.
