Nihilism is regarded negatively because everyone wants to believe that their life has meaning. It is hard to believe that nothing matters when all of civilization has taught us that our lives affect others like a ripples in a pond.
Living without purpose, without morals, without God, without knowledge or feelings... is the antithesis of what it means to be human.

For Nietzsche to even come up with the idea shows incredible imaginative powers of abstract thought only made possible by acute observation - so he's proving himself wrong.

Nihilism is inherently contradictory on deeper levels.

Anything that opposes the survival instinct offends. Even our own nihilistic tendencies get on our nerves!
