Anybody have any other tips for someone who is new to strings? I am familliar with instruments. I play flute, piano, saxophone and piccolo. I have an Esteban guitar and I'm wondering if you can play any genre with a western guitar? The strings are nylon but is it possible to change to steel too?

I'm a singer/actress and I really want/need a talent agent. I also love doing theatre so if the talent agent that you know of does that too that would be good. I would like to get myself out there so I can perfom in more places. If you know of anywhere please tell me.

got a few questions that I figure would be best to put them all together to save space..
Q1. Ive been workin on trying to gain speed by running scales but I find that while running them my hand starts to cramp up. If you take your hand face the palm towards yourself , and make a number 4 its that muscle that starts cramping what can I do to prevent this? Do I tough it out and will soon get used to it and eventually go away? My thumb is double jointed could that be causing the problem?

Q2. when ever I try hammering on strings with my pinky there is hardly any Oomph to the hammer on. It doesnt sound like a hammer on it just sounds like im killing the ring out of the string I find that im havin the same trouble with pull offs any suggestions?

Last Q. Ok so Im trying to work on solos more I can never figure out where to start my solos at and what scale to use alot of times it sounds like im just running scales and theirs nothing special too them. How does one improve the aww factor?

I play the piano and guitar. I'm known amongst my friends for writing funny songs, and I'm thinking about writing a new one. It's about geeks with square glasses and about if Microsoft and Starbucks merged. It starts with a D chord and then a F minor, then a B minor, and then G chord. Is it a pretty good idea for the chord progression?

what do you think is better for the guitar? Personally, i'm for no theory at the moment because theory is explaining why notes sound good together... but that limits you to those notes only and there are many more combinations.

Why use a 12 over a 6? Is a 12 string guitar used for chords mainly? Do they make 12 string electric guitars? I usually only see it on acoustics.

currently my voice is very monotone and either quiet and deep or a bit louder and nasally. I cannot seem to talk loudly (my voice just won't allow it) is there any exercises or anything that can help this.
