Well, keep in mind this DOES work, but not in rural areas or small towns. Gotta hit the busy areas of a city to get enough tips to eat!

If you are not expecting lots of material goods or steady food Yes
It all about your love of music. If Music is the only thing that matters to you. Go for it

You could do it in your spare time, but I would suggest getting job that you can count on all the time so you won't end up on the streets.
