I'm looking to buy another guitar (as a present for someone) on the internet...I'm looking for somewhere where I don't need a credit card...that's all...any sites are much appreciated...

Hey. I plan on learning to learn some type of instrument before i graduate from high school (sophomore next year) and I want to learn the electric guitar, simply because of all the Slipknot, Slayer, Manson, Underoath, etc. songs that I love, and I'd like to be able to play like them. I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me about some good Electric Guitar beginner kits I should buy, and if I find a kit, what are the basics that it should include. Thank You.

what do i need should i get both and get lessons for both or should i start with one then learn the other later?

my reason is i love guitars and i want to play for fancy restaurants or cruises, so i'll have to be good.

i have been wanting to take guitar lessons for a while. my good friend take lessons close by and she asked if i wanted to take lessons with her over the summer. I do, so i asked my parents and they said yes. she plays electric. which one should i buy? acoustic or electric. i am a BEGINNER. so i want the easiest one. i want electric, but i don't know if it's harder. she started out as a beginer and has only been taking lessons for a couple months and plays great. which one should i play!?!

I have to memorize a guitar piece within a few days, it is fairly complicated, the piano will most likely play the piece verbatim but I'm given some more creative freedom.

The chord charts say to Play all sorts of chords I don't have time to memorize like Gsus2/F and Cmaj9. Can I get away with just playing chords like this in their 1-3-5 form (Maj/Minor)? Will it still sound tonally correct?

I'm learning guitar by scratch, and the way I learn things is by writing down "everything" I need to know about learning something and then going to down the checklist learning it.

Can someone give me a list of "everything" I need to know about learning to play the guitar, starting with the most important things one needs to know first? Please don't leave anything out.

A few months ago at a musical show I went to, a girl at my school had a wonderful solo. I saw the show four times just to hear her. I was talking to my friend, who is also friends with this girl, and I asked her what she thought the singer would do if I went up to her and asked her to sing it again for me. I feel like she couldn't very well just say 'no'. She's very outgoing, and goes to a special school for her singing, so she's aware that she's very good. What's your take on this?

Like, where the singer just uses so much energy in her/his voice. One that you can really SING. Not just plain and flat, but high piched etc.
