I know how to play the guitar but, I don't know how to play slurs. I think that your only supposed to pluck the string once and then cange the note, but I still can't do it

A slurred note is normally performed by sliding up or down to the next sequential note. Hammer-ons are simply hammer-ons and are not slurs. A bend is another variation of a slur.

A slur in vocal has always been frowned upon by the instructors, but instrumental slurs are always acceptable.

ok,,, its a method of plucking one string,

but afterwards you hold the note, and either do one of two things,,, you slide to another fret, or you hammer to another fret.

slide = hold and move,
hammer = hit note and "hammer" down another finger hard enough on another fret to make it sound.
